My girlfriend of 4 months just told me she is pregnant today. She is 20, I am 25. It's unexpected but I believe she will be a great mother, and I will do my best as a father. I graduated college with a bachelor degree in finance in 2012. After college I started working but couldn't find an ideal job so I moved back with my parents to save money. I currently live with my parents but just had my offer accepted to purchase my first home, I move in June 1st. When I created my monthly budget for when I move I had around $500 a month in excess income from my job. I also run a small business in my free time, which is roughly another $1500 a month. My plans were to continue working and expand my business but now I have no idea how tight money will be or what to expect. How much should I expect to spend monthly on a newborn child? I have been with AAA my whole life because my father advocates highly for them so I have trusted his judgment and experience. But I think they may be ripping me off. #1. I am insured under my parents Allstate Auto Insurance. My boyfriend is a licensed driver but does not have car insurance. If he drives my car and something happened, would Allstate cover it? #2. In a previous state, we were given the option of adding him to the plan or not allowing him to drive any of our vehicles. We signed the agreement that he would not drive our vehicles. I was in an auto accident and had head injuries. When the insurance company settled, I did not see the settlement check. My lawyer wrote personal 2 checks to me totaling what he said to be the policy limit. I never saw anything that showed what the policy limit was and I feel like he has done something very underhanded. This same lawyer sent me to a doctor for a test and charged me 6,500.00 for an EMG.
